June Tune-up: check in #3
Check in #3? How is that even possible?? This month is flying by!!
Looking back at last week’s post, I see I was a bit of a Debby Downer. Never fear, I’ve recovered my normal, happy, glass half full persona! This week is a bit hectic, with Liam having testing at school, me incorporating running into my workouts, the usual end-of-school rush of field trips and picnics and the like, friends moving away, etc. But I’m staying afloat, unlike last week.
I think the running is really helping with that. I like having 45 minutes blocked off on the calendar, just for me. Granted, I’m doing my runs while the boys are in school. But previously that was housework time, or run errands for the family time, or billing time, or some such. Hell, even when I do my weights workouts I’m at home, folding laundry in my rest periods
I love that I’m taking that block of time and doing something completely focused on me. And it’s going to stay that way… unless I figure out a way to take the laundry with me…. maybe pull it in a wagon…?
Nutrition wise I’m doing better this week. There has still been evening snacking, but I’m being more mindful of it, and therefore doing less of it. It must be paying off because:
Starting weight: 139
Last week: 138.0
Current weight: 137.0
Total loss: 2.0
Salad-A-Day: 20/30
Walking (or running) 30 minutes per day: 19/30
New exercise/activity: 0/1
Truly pleased to be down a full pound this week! I’m pleased with any progress in the right direction, but this was a nice surprise
Not so nice of a surprise is realizing I only have ten days to try out a new exercise or activity. I think counting the running would be cheating, as I have ran before, just not recently. Crap. I’m actually going to have to follow through on that, aren’t I?

Good work! It may time to pop in a DVD or instant play a DVD on netflix. There’s lots of dance stuff that you can try. Have fun whatever you do!
Definitely going to *try* for fun!
Enjoy your time alone… you deserve it. Great job this week.
Thanks so much for your support!
